There’s 3 things that I love the most in this world; my Newfie pup, coffee, and doing hair for a living. On the weekends you can find me eating sushi, spending time unwinding, or FaceTiming my family at every chance I get. Growing up with naturally curly hair in a family of straight hair made for some crazy school pictures of brushed out curls in a high pony tail. It took me years to learn how to manage my twists and kinks, and I’m still learning! It wasn’t until I took the plunge into cosmetology school that I began to feel confident with what I had taught myself.
I didn’t go to cosmetology school right away. After graduating high school in Green Bay, Wisconsin I took the traditional route and went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I was two and a half years in, studying biochemistry, and desperately wishing I was doing what I was passionate for. Eventually I had a enough as well as a huge self realization; I took my semester finals, went home for Christmas, and told my entire family I was no longer going to be attending UW-Madison and starting that January I would be a new student at the Aveda Institute! I was filled with nothing but warmth and encouragement from everyone and that continues to this day.
I moved to Chicago when I got a job offer to be a Color Specialist post-graduation from the Aveda Institute. I spent time on Michigan Avenue mastering my craft and learning what I loved the most about color; blonde, balayage, color corrections, and creative color. But being in a departmentalized salon meant that I didn’t get to do the entire service from start to finish and I missed that connection that is built with a client when you spend that time with them. I found Salon Glow Chicago and it was everyone’s bio’s that made me feel like I needed to be apart of the team, and the beauty of the salon was just another perk of why I love it here so much!
Not only do I get to express my creativity through color daily, but I do extensions, keratin smoothing treatments, hair cutting, and bridal. I don’t even consider this to be “work” because all day I get the opportunity to give people a look that makes them more confident, beautiful, and all around better about themselves. What more could you ask for in a career? (Other than endless puppies)
New Guest Services
As a new client, we'll require extra time for a thorough consultation and proper time to create the looks you see on my social media!
After the initial service, your maintenance services will be at my regular color prices.
Maintenance appointment pricing applies to clients who receive services every 1-4 months. For clients wishing to go 4 months or longer, no problem, but you will need to select a new client block at the time of rebooking to ensure we have ample time to reconnect and revamp your look.
Pricing is broken down into different time blocks to eliminate the confusion of figuring out what service or look to book.
The more time booked, the more we can achieve in one session!
Please review the service blocks below, then click the "Book Now" button to submit your appointment request. If you feel you need more details on booking or the services I offer, you are welcome to book just a consultation as well. Please feel free to email the salon if you have any questions or trouble requesting your appointment. We do require all bookings be made online.
Prices are subject to change
