Wedding Q & A

+ May I see your portfolio?

Of course! Here it is

+ Do you have a few references I can call?

Please request references and we will send you the emails of 2 of our recent brides.

+ What do you charge?

Check out our prices here

Salon Glow does not charge a travel fee.

Parking fees may have to be covered by the bride.

Retainer fee due at the time of booking.

Full payment due the day before the wedding.

There will be a card on file for any additional services added on the day of.

+ Do you have a contract?

Yes, please contact us.

+ Can you work with my specific needs?

We will always do everything we can to make everything specific to each bride. Sensitive skin, fine hair that needs clip in extensions, severe acne and need good coverage, have a tattoo or scar that you want covered?Whatever your needs, be sure to let us know about them beforehand and we will cater to them.

+ How far in advance do I need to book?

A lot of brides will book 2 months in advance and they don't have any trouble with their date being open. We suggest trying to book at least 4 months in advance due to weddings becoming a service in high demand and more and more brides booking in

advance. Dates are not held until retainer fee is in.

+ Do you offer a hair and makeup trial? Is it included in the fee? Yes we offer trials, check out our trial services here.

+ Can I trial more than one look? Yes! Sometimes you have no idea what you like once you see it on yourself. We offer different trial packages to fit your needs.

+ What happens if I change my mind? No problem. If it is before the wedding date and you want to try the look before hand you can just schedule an additional trial at 20% off. If it is the day of or no prior trial there will be a $25 fee PER STYLE added to the card on file.

+ Will you or someone else be there on the day? The stylist/artist you had on your trial is who you will have on the day of. IF something happens and they are unable to make it, we will make sure you are notified and have someone that has just as much experience as who you were with. In a case that it is a pre-planned change, you will have a free trial again on us.

+ What if I don’t have my hair accessories ready? We’d always recommend having your accessories ready for your trial, but it’s not always possible. Your glow stylist would love to have pictures so they have an idea of what they will be working with on the day of.

+ How long will it take? On the day of we plan an hour for the brides hair and an hour for the brides makeup. The rest of the bridal party should only take 30-45 minutes for each service but we plan for 45 minutes to be on the safe side. It is the brides responsibility to make sure that all her bridal party is on time and early for their hair appointments. Any gaps will cause you to be running behind and result in a fee and/or some of the bridal party not being able to receive their services.

+ How long will the hair/makeup last? How should I handle touchups? Hair and makeup will last you the whole night, and in some cases you will even wake up with a full face of makeup and your hair still beautiful and pinned. Our hairstylists do all they can to pin and spray the hair in place. Our makeup artists use high end products that last. The Glow staff always leaves time at the end to do any touchups before they leave.  It doesn't hurt to have some hairspray and lipstick for touchups through the night.

+ Will you be able to help me with my veil and tiara? Yes, we would love to be the one to put it in and show your MOH how to take it off. If you have it at the time of your trial please bring it with you.

+ How should I prepare?

Hair- We always suggest the bride and bridal party shampoo and dry hair the night before. If you are good with giving yourself a blowout or want to stop at the salon for one before your rehearsal dinner that would be best. Not an option? That's ok, just shampoo and either finger dry or air-dry after putting in a leave in conditioner. Please do not flat iron and please make sure everyone's hair is 100% dry to avoid having an additional blowdry fee. We will do all of the rest.

Makeup- Wash and moisturize your face the morning of. If you are getting any facials we suggest doing that at least 2 weeks before.

+ Would you like to see my wedding inspiration? Yes, we are creative folks, and love to get a sense of the whole look and feel of your day, even if it’s just before the event. Refer us to your Pinterest board or just simply show us on your phone. Also having pictures of what you don't like helps just as much.
