SALON GLOW CHICAGO POLICIES, TERMS & CONDITIONS AS OF JAN 2020
Your appointments are very important to us. They are reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary, however we require a 24 hour cancellation notice. We confirm all appointments via text, email, or phone call and send out appointment reminders based on your preference. You may opt out at any time. A credit card on file is required in order to book an appointment- no exceptions. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled time in preparation of your services. This will allow time to hang up any belongings, use the restroom before your appointment, enjoy a beverage and unwind.
To ensure the promptness of all reservations we reserve the right to reschedule any reservation that is 15 minutes late or later. We will always do our best to accommodate our guests, however, we can only do what we can with the time available. We can never push back following guests to accommodate you for being late. All late arrivals will be charged a $25 fee for the time waiting.
STYLIST LATE START
To be fair, if your stylist starts you after 15 minutes we will give you $25 off your services.
We recommend scheduling your next appointment before you leave the salon to ensure you receive the best date and time for your service. A credit card on file is required to book an appointment.
Prices are subject to change without notice. All prices are starting prices and go up depending on length, thickness, and upkeep of hair. Please let your stylist know if you are trying to stay within a budget and we will provide you the best options.
Prices listed are prices to maintain the color you have within a 4-8 week range. Anyone new OR past that time frame can expect higher costs for product and service timing.
CREDIT CARD ON FILE
We require a credit card on file for all bookings- no exceptions! All credit cards are safe and secure in our system. Once the card is placed we can never edit or see the numbers besides the last 4 digits. You are only charged in accordance to our cancellation/no show policy. Our system complies with current data protection regulations.
CANCELLATIONS & NO SHOWS
We appreciate a 48-hr notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Our policy requires at least a 24-hr notice. If you have to cancel or reschedule after the 24-hr notice a 25% fee will be charged to the card on file. Any no shows will be charged 100% of the service reservation to the card on file.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Services: We want you to always feel like you are Glowing after an appointment with us. If you are dissatisfied with a service you have received we ask that you please give us the opportunity to make it right. We will offer you back into the salon free of charge to correct your concerns. The only qualifications to book a service correction is to call within 7 days of your service date and book within 14 days of your service date. You will have to schedule with the original service provider you booked with, in the case that you are no longer comfortable with your original service provider please let us know. We may be able to book you with another stylist of equal level. Please note that if you decide to save money and see another stylist at a lower cost the services will be performed at a different level- that is not considered a service correction.
Service and product costs are NON REFUNDABLE- no exceptions.
In the case that you tried something new and you no longer want what you got, that is not considered a redo. A new appointment will need to be booked to change your hair to a new look.
In the case that you are working towards a specific look and your hair didn't get as light as you wanted this time, that is not considered a redo. Please understand that your stylist is a professional and we will never compromise your hair by pushing it too far in one process. Trust the process and schedule.
Brazilian Blowouts/Keratins are NOT straightening services. They promise to help control frizz and sometimes in the process it can loosen and control your natural curl. We do not offer redos on these services due to your hair still being curly. We only guarantee these services if you take home the products that go along with maintaining the service. We understand that you may have your own products at home but we only guarantee if product is purchased on the day of the service.
Retail: We take great pride in our quality of products. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your product purchase we will assist you with an exchange or refund within 14 days of purchase. Anything after 14 days is only subject to an exchange. Tools and brushes are non-refundable/exchangeable.
Gift Certificates are non refundable.
CHOOSING A NEW HAIRSTYLIST
We realize that you may need to switch to a different Service Provider based on a variety of reasons – schedules, prices, or sometimes just to get a different perspective. Please feel free to ask us for a referral to another in-house Service Provider. All of our Service Providers are highly trained and very supportive of one another. We keep detailed records of your service history and hair color formulas. All of our Service Providers have equal access to your service information. Never feel bad about "cheating" on your stylist, we work as a team and are happy to see you in our home no matter what.
Breakups are hard. Please send us an email to and let us know what we could have done to be a better fit for you. We would love the chance to make it right, but if we are not the salon for you we completely understand. We always wish you the best on finding a new hair home.
All hair color formulas are the intellectual property of Salon Glow Chicago.
Visiting or sending emails to Salon Glow Chicago constitutes electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically, via email and on the Site, satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
We accept cash and major credit cards: Master Card, VISA, Discover & AMEX. Your credit card is required to reserve an appointment but will not be charged unless your appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours of scheduled services or for no-shows. We do not accept checks. A 50% deposit is required at booking for appointments over $500.00. Tips are accepted in Cash and Venmo/Apple pay/Zelle only- we do not offer tips on card.
We embrace a relaxing and calm environment. For the comfort of other guests please keep all audio turned off. Laptops, Tablets and Mobile/Cell phones should be quieted and we request you please use ear buds when listening to your electronic devices. We encourage you to get your work done during your appointment, your stylist will give you the space to work interruption free.
Salon Glow Chicago welcomes all well-behaved children. Please remind your children to avoid running, spinning or climbing on chairs, or opening any closed drawers in the space. Most drawers contain sharp objects and chemicals that could be potentially dangerous to unsuspecting children. Children are always welcome to receive salon services. Due to the relaxing nature of our guest services we respectfully request children are only brought into the salon when receiving a service.
We all love our furry friends, but please leave your pets at home.
We NEVER tolerate bullies- you will be asked to leave and never welcomed back. That includes but is not limited to:
1. Verbally abusive language
2. Belittling/talking down to
3. Repeating -"The customer is always right". We do not run our business this way and if you believe that is wrong, we accept that we aren't the right fit for you.
4. Putting your hands on any staff member and/or their tools
5. Any form of harassment
If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You may not assign or otherwise transfer your account to any other person or entity. You acknowledge that Salon Glow Chicago is not responsible for third party access to your account that results from theft or misappropriation of your account. Salon Glow Chicago and its associates reserve the right to refuse or cancel service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion. Salon Glow chicago does not knowingly collect, either online or offline, personal information from persons under the age of thirteen. If you are under 18, you may use www.salonglowchicago.com only with permission of a parent or guardian.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorized employees within the company on a need to know basis only use information collected from individual customers. Information collected about our clients is not shared with any other organization. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers.
Salon glow Chicago reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change the Terms under which Products, Services & is offered. The most current version of the Terms will supersede all previous versions. Salon Glow Chicago encourages you to periodically review the Terms to stay informed of our updates.
