SALON GLOW CHICAGO POLICIES, TERMS & CONDITIONS AS OF JANUARY 2022

HAPPINESS GUARANTEE

At Salon Glow Chicago if you're not happy, we're not happy.  In the event that you are not, please contact us within 24 hours so we can correct it free of charge. In order to book a service correction you must contact us within 5 days of your service date and book with your original stylist (or comparable stylist) within 10 days of your original service date.

APPOINTMENTS

All appointments must be booked online via www.salonglowchiago.com or directly through our online booking system Boulevard. We no longer take phone or text bookings. We require a credit card on file and a 50% deposit to confirm your appointment. No exceptions. If you are unable to find a time online please reach out via email and we will be happy to find appointment that works best for you. *Deposit amount is subject to change. 

Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled time in preparation of your services. This will allow ample time to hang up any belongings, use the restroom, enjoy a beverage and unwind. Based on your communication preference all appointment confirmations and reminders are sent via text, email, and/or phone. 

CANCELLATION POLICY & NO SHOWS

We understand that unforeseen circumstances happen and you may need to cancel or change an appointment with us.  In order to respect the time of both our guests and staff we ask that you kindly give us a 24 hour cancellation notice. This allows us adequate  time to fill the appointment should you need to cancel. 

In the event of a cancellation with less than a 4 hour notice you will be charged 50% of your service total. If you do not have an account balance to cover the fee then your card on file will be charged. If you do not have a card on file, and you do not pay the balance within 24hrs you will have to pay 100% of the service fee before you can book your next service with us. 

A cancellation or reschedule can only be done online through Boulevard or by contracting the salon directly via phone (773) 327-7200 or email at info@salonglowchicago.com. 

LATE ARRIVALS

We will always do our best to accommodate our guests, however we can only do what we can within limited business hours. Therefore, in order to ensure the promptness and accuracy of all guest appointments we reserve the right to reschedule any reservation that is 5 minutes late or later.  All late arrivals will be charged according to their stylists hourly fees.

PRICING

All prices stated is base pricing and goes up depending on style choice, length, thickness, and upkeep of hair. Please let your stylist know if you are  trying to stay within a budget and we will provide you with the best options.

Color prices are based on maintaining the color you have within a 4-8 week range. First time clients or clients  past that time frame can expect higher costs of product and service timing. 

Cost of product is charged separately from the service cost. Guests will only pay for the amount of product used rather than a flat fee. *Prices are subject to change without notice.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Services are NON-REFUNDABLE.

In the event that you tried something new, and you want to revert back to a different style,  that is not considered a service correction.  This is considered a new appointment. ​Additionally, in the case that you are working towards a specific look and your hair did not get as light as you wanted this time, this too is not considered a service correction. Please understand that your stylist is a trained professional and we will never compromise your hair by pushing it too far in one process. Trust the process and please schedule accordingly. 

Brazilian Blowouts and Keratins are NOT straightening services. These services promise to help control frizz by loosening your natural curl. We do not offer service corrections on these services. We only guarantee these services if you take home the products that go along with maintaining the service on the initial day.

We take great pride in the quality of our retail products. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your product purchase we will assist you with an exchange or refund within 10 days of purchase. Tools and brushes are non-refundable/exchangeable. 

Gift Certificates are non-refundable.

CHOOSING A NEW HAIRSTYLIST

We realize that you may need to switch to a different Service Provider based on a variety of reasons – schedules, prices, or sometimes just to get a different perspective. Please feel free to ask us for a referral to another in-house Service Provider. All of our Service Providers are highly trained and very supportive of one another. We keep detailed records of your service history and hair color formulas. All of our Service Providers have equal access to your service information. Never feel bad about "cheating" on your stylist, we work as a team and are happy to see you in our home no matter what. 

SALON/CLIENT BREAKUPS

Breakups are hard. Please send us an email to info@salonglowchicago.com and let us know what we could have done to be a better fit for you. We would love the chance to make it right, but if we are not the salon for you we completely understand. We always wish you the best on finding a new hair home. 

COLOR FORMULAS

All hair color formulas are the intellectual property of Salon Glow Chicago.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

We accept cash and major credit cards: Master Card, VISA, Discover & AMEX. We do not accept checks. A 50% deposit is required at booking for appointments over $500.00. 

CHILDREN

Salon Glow Chicago welcomes all well-behaved children. Please remind your children to avoid running, spinning or climbing on chairs, or opening any closed drawers in the space. Most drawers contain sharp objects and chemicals that could be potentially dangerous to unsuspecting children. Children are always welcome to receive salon services at full service costs. Due to the relaxing nature of our guest services we respectfully request children are only brought into the salon when receiving a service. 

PETS

We all love our furry friends, but please leave your pets at home.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Salon Glow Chicago reserves the right to refuse service to anyone demonstrating inappropriate behavior to any member of our staff or guests. This includes but is not limited to:

1. Verbally Abusive Language

2. Belittling Staff

3. Physically touching staff members and/or their tools

4. Any form of harassment or bullying

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

By visiting the SALON GLOW CHICAGO Platforms or Services, or communicating with SALON GLOW CHICAGO via email, you are accepting the terms of and the practices described on this policy page. You also consent to receive communications from SALON GLOW CHICAGO electronically. SALON GLOW CHICAGO will communicate with you by email or by posting notifications on the Website and/or the App. You understand and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that SALON GLOW CHICAGO provides electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. If you do not agree to this, please refrain from using the SALON GLOW CHICAGO Platforms, or Services. Your continued use of the SALON GLOW CHICAGO Platforms, or Services following the posting of changes to these terms will indicate your acceptance of those changes. WE MAY ALSO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU BY SMS, MMS, TEXT MESSAGE OR OTHER ELECTRONIC MEANS TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE.

 

Additionally, by visiting a SALON GLOW CHICAGO you hereby grant us an absolute and irrevocable right, license and unrestricted permission to use photographs or video taken of your image and likeness, and to use, re-use, publish and re-publish the same in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other photographs and any printed or video matter, in any and all media now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever allowed by law for illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising and trade, or any other purpose whatsoever without restriction as to alteration.

ELECTRONICS & ​NETWORK ACCESS

We embrace a relaxing and calm environment. For the comfort of other guests we encourage laptops, tablets and cell phones to be put on silent. We also kindly request you use ear buds when listening to your electronic devices. In the event you are working during your appointment, your stylist will give you the space to work interruption free. 

SALON GLOW CHICAGO provides wireless Internet access to its clients and guests via an unsecured wireless network (“Services”). It is strongly recommended that you do not use our network to transmit personal, financial, or legal data. SALON GLOW CHICAGO is not responsible for malicious theft or interception of data transmitted over our wireless network. Your access to the Service is completely at the discretion of SALON GLOW CHICAGO, and your access to the Service may be blocked, suspended, or terminated at any time for any reson including, but not limited to, violation of our Privacy Policy or these terms, actions that may lead to liability for SALON GLOW CHICAGO, disruption of access to other users or networks, or violation of applicable laws or regulations. SALON GLOW CHCAGO may revise the Privacy Policy at any time. You may use the Service only if you agree to our Policy and following terms of service each time you access the Service. SALON GLOW CHICAGO assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for harm done to laptop/PDA configurations, security, or data files resulting from connection to SALON GLOW CHICAGO wireless service. This is an open wireless network. No network communication is 100% secure. Virus and security protection is your responsibility.

YOUR ACCOUNT

If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You may not assign or otherwise transfer your account to any other person or entity. You acknowledge that Salon Glow Chicago is not responsible for third party access to your account that results from theft or misappropriation of your account. Salon Glow Chicago and its associates reserve the right to refuse or cancel service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion. Salon Glow chicago does not knowingly collect, either online or offline, personal information from persons under the age of thirteen. If you are under 18, you may use www.salonglowchicago.com only with permission of a parent or guardian.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect online. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All marketing emails and newsletters from this site allow you to opt out of further marketing mailings. We use industry-standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information (such as firewalls and secure sockets layer software) where appropriate. Nevertheless, absolute security does not yet exist on the internet. As we continue to evolve our website and incorporate new technologies to improve communication, our policies may change.
